Happy Thanksgiving! Well, Thanksgiving is here tomorrow, and that starts the holiday season. Birdzilla is in the fridge, awaiting the morning when he goes in the oven, and we all overeat and triptophan ourselves out! I'm still feeling a bit sad that my daughter won't be there... she usually sets the table with all kinds of Thanksgiving decorations. Oh well.. *sigh* The season of shopping malls being demilitarized zones, parking lots overflowing with irate people, and sales, sales sales! It's a love/hate relationship people have with the holidays. Luckily, I have most of my Christmas shopping done! (nyah nyahhhhh!) Well, time for some fun: Hey Bubba, did you know, "If you move to Kentucky you better be prepared to bathe -- at least once a year."?? The story's on CNN right here (serously) It says "A state law that mandates people bathe at least once in 12 months is just one of many unusual statutes that are or have been on the books." Oh, also on the Kentucky law books is this gem: "No female shall appear in a bathing suit on any highway within this state unless she be escorted by at least two officers or unless she be armed with a club." The law was later amended with: "The provisions of this statute shall not apply to females weighing less than 90 pounds nor exceeding 200 pounds, nor shall it apply to female horses." So, if you're a female HORSE you can be on a highway in your bathing suit? *LOL* So... let your wife and daughter(s) know! *L* Saying hi out there to LQ, wishing things were better for you right now.. but one good thing about being down, it's all uphill from here! Hey Paul, send me a gallon of that Chocolate Porter from that brewpub will ya! I'll need it after this week! Happiest of Thanksgiving to everyone! |
