This week.... more than ever.....

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!

Moving right along......

One more day to this hellish workweek. Yesterday wasn't much better than Wednesday, but the day today hopes to be better. I have to go to our Hamden facility somewhere later this morning, and will probably spend the rest of the day there.

Yesterday, a friend of mine from work, Rich, came out to meet me fcr lunch, and we tried a new place for lunch called Braza, a Brazilian restaurant (read review here) where for a set price, you get an outstanding salad bar, then there are waiters constantly walking around with different meats on large skewers, that have been slow roasted. They slice you off a piece and you have a small set of "tongs" to grasp the piece before sliced through to put on your plate. The food is a 9.95 out of 10, service also 9.95. It IS a bit pricey, but it's not the kind of place you'd go all the time. Here's a short blurb from the review:
It's different, yes. Fun, absolutely. The concept is simple: For a set price you can stuff yourself silly. But don't think for a second that Braza is any ordinary buffet. You begin your meal with a salad bar, which to me only gets in the way of the real reason you're at a churrascaria: meat, meat and more meat. More than a dozen meats that have been roasted rotisserie-style in the restaurant's open kitchen are brought to you by waiters who serve the meat rodizio-style: carved at the table. This unusual presentation is made all the more theatrical in that the meats glisten on long skewers that look like swashbuckler's swords.

This weekend, we're going to be busy with my God-Daughter's birthday party, going to a computer show with my son and brother to get my brother a new PC, then to see my dad whose birthday is this week (along with mine).

And now, the news not fit for print:

Every 2 years, they carpet the Grand Place in Brussels Belgium with flowers. I've actually been to the Grand Place twice, and LOVE it.

Dude, where's my stuff!

Hey Dave, check out THIS fish story from Alaska!

And here's a few goofy headlines I found today:

Tech companies want more female geeks. Dateless trekkies rejoice

Here's a holiday we can all get behind: August is "National Anal Sex Month"

California gay marriages annulled. No word yet on who gets curtains, china

Diamonds are a girl's best friend -- however, gold shouldn't be overlooked

Louisiana representative caught with pants down in park restroom, thought ranger was George Michael

Wal-Mart pharmacist mistakenly gives out Estrogen instead of Testosterone. Elderly man's cups now runeth over

India rethinking its moon-landing plan after realizing it's really, really complicated and costs a lot of money

And of course, my Hottie of the Week!

Have a great day and weekend!
