more work days till vacation....!

We had a great weekend... had Ray and Debbie over for dinner Saturday night, tried out a new recipe for "Chicken Dianne", which came out fantastic, then watched some NCAA basketball.

Has anyone seen this REALLY WEIRD show on VH1 called "Strange Love", starring Flava Flav, and Brigitte Nielson? My daughter wanted me to see an episode, and I almost died.... Flava is one of the.... biggest idiots, and Brigitte, that used to be SO HOT, looks like a bag lady! Oh it's SO strange!

Yesterday, was our wine club's 2005 Wine Dinner. The meny was outstanding and included:

Wine: Domaine Martin 2003 Quincy, Applelation Quincy Controlee from France (100% Sauvignon Blanc)

Appetizer: Roasted Duck Breast with Blackberry Demi Glaze
Wine: Beringer Noveau 2004

Salad: Spring Mix Greens with Pears, Pecans, Gorgonzola Cheeze, with Blueberry infused Olive Oil
Wine: Peter Stollers Riesling Kabinett Trocken 2003

Intermission: Pineapple Sorbet
