TGIF!

No vacation report today.. I haven't had time to upload anymore pictures. I'll continue on Monday hopefully.

Last night's union party was pretty good. Munchies were fantastic, though the main course was just ok. It was a cash bar, so nobody really overdid it.

Tonight, I go see The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy (THGTTG) with Dave.
Originally, THGTTG was a series of radion shows on the BBC in the UK which was then made into a 13 part BBC television series. Then it was made into books (a 5 book trilogy), and I actually own a video from the BBC of the 13 parts all rolled into one show. I really love it, as it's a lot like "Monty Python" in it's humor. This movie has everything. The lone Earthman (Arthur Dent) about to leave earth with an alien friend (Ford Prefect), though Arthur doesn't know he's an alien, but think he's an out of work actor from Guilford (UK). There's Vogons (huge aliens in big ships that destroy planets to make way for hyperspace bypasses), Dentrassi (cooks for the Vogons that love to pick up hitchikers because it pisses off the Vogons), Magratheans, a planet building society with an architect named Slartibartfast, who proudly exclaims that he's the one responsible for the Fjords in the Norwegian countries, a paranoid android named Marvin, a pretty Earth girl named Trillian (Tricia McMillan), a two headed, 3 armed humanoid named Zaphod Beeblebrox, that's the President of the Galaxy, and the inventor of the most powerful drink in existance, the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster which the Guide says is like "getting smashed through the head with a large brick wrapped in a lemon". The guide even goes on to tell you where you can find the best Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, how much you can expect to pay for one, and what kind of programs are available to help you recover from them. Lastly, the movie examines the answer to the biggest question, of Life, The Universe, and Everything (the answer of course, which is 24).
All in all... a great series of books, and should be a good movie.

And now, for the news:

This just in... Norwegian Men are IDIOTS!
Woman convicted of raping man via oral sex at a party in Norway as he slept. In other news, woman now invited to every party in Norway

In an attempt to outdo the success of labeling drunk driver's cars with yellow plates, Ohio presents: The Sexual Predator plate. In ravishing pink (sure wouldn't want to drive THAT guy's car!)

Man, 45, gleefully brags online about his recent marriage to 21-year-old woman. His 45-year-old wife apparently surfs the same sites

Organizers of "Whorehouse Days" festival are having problems finding venues for their events

And of course, it's Friday.. so here's my BOTD! (it's in the eyes...)

Have a great weekend!
