Vacation Recap.... part 1 Well, upon arriving at the pier in San Juan, Puerto Rico, there was a line about 500 feet long.. though a woman there asked us "did they take your bags at the airport", to which we said yes, and she directed us to a new line, and we were the first ones in it. As we got there, the doors opened, and we went to the first person available (special line for us for our frequent cruise club), and within 30 seconds, we were done. We were the FIRST people on the ship! Never thought that'd happen. The first nightw as uneventful, we met the people at our table at dinner, all nice people, and went to the show which was a good comedy show. The next day, we were in St. Maarten, and we just walked around and window-shopped. This is where my wife won her diamond tennis bracelet. She still adores it. After she won it, we went to a quaint little trendy restaurant called Banarama (yes, spelling is right) and had a great lunch. After giving the wife a chance to get in the water at the beach for a bit (I'm not a beach person), we headed back to the ship to shower for dinner. The entertainment this night was for "blue hairs", so we opted out and went to the Schooner Bar to play in the trivia game. We won handily (aced the game) and won some nice luggage locks. Did some walking on deck after, and headed in to bed at around midnight. This day, we were tendered in to St. Barts. Now, THIS island is for the (in my best Robin Leach voice) Rich and Pompous! Check out THIS dingy! Talk about overcompensating...... The whole island was like that. Stores included Hermes, Cartier, Bulgari... etc. A simple woman's blouse in one place was over $1200 in US money! Needless to say, the cruise line says they're not going back there again. More tomorrow And now, for the news: I guess while I was on vacation, there was a Star Wars convention somewhere. This blog, if you read it all, is hilarious. Also check out Elvis Boba Fett! Hey Colin, did you attend this at BU? The elusive female orgasm has been hiding out at... Boston University? This one's from Aaron: Feds won't let man get away with b-o-l-o-g-n-a You have no idea how THIS pisses me off! Maine man ordered to pay $11,000 in back child support, even though DNA test proves he's not the father Did you know, the Hubble Telescope is 15 years old this month! Check out the Hubble website..! Here's another great site, with a cool slideshow Curt, you need to take this test! What kind of English do YOU speak? I wish I were in college... "Sextravaganza" spurs controversy at George Mason University. So much for that whole "Virginia Is for Lovers" thing That's it for today... have a great one..! |
