TGIF, and a Long Weekend too!

Ahhh... I love Fridays.. don't even mind too much coming into work really on Fridays.
Tonight, my friend Dave and I are going to the movies to see Transporter 2. I loved the first movie, and this one looks just as good.

This whole disaster down south has really made a lot of people think. About things like, the oil companies gouging, the lack of our government to get help there quicker, and lots of other things.
It was reported today on the radio, that if we only tapped our own oil reserves in the us, not even counting the Gulf of Mexico, we'd still have enough oil to meet our needs for 100 years. Take for example, the Alaskan Pipeline. We sell ALL of that oil to China and Japan. (I wonder if we get $60 a barrel for it). Ahh, too much downer stuff to think about there, but I do believe we're being stupid with our own oil.

Moving along, I had a discussion with someone recently about old movies, and I mentioned I love the old "Sci-Fi B movies", and some of my favorites are listd below:

Bush warns oil companies not to gouge consumers. Busses being called in to evacutate oil executives to hospital for treatment from laughter-related injuries

One would think that a woman who was just arrested for flashing her boobies would have the common sense not to go Full Monty in the backseat of the police cruiser

List of donations by those big, evil corporations. And some alright ones, too (Ok, this is a good one. "Ford Motor Credit Company is offering customers affected by Hurricane Katrina the opportunity to defer up to two vehicle payments." Two payments? That's two months. Do they believe people will be back to work with money in 2 months???)

300 Arkansas National Guard troops have landed in New Orleans, with authorisation to shoot and kill "hoodlums"
