Damn workweeks... always getting in the way...

Oh what a weekend....
Friday night, went to dinner and a movie with Dave. Had some great wings and beers for dinner, then went to see Transporter 2. Definitely a fantastic movie, though, there were two thinsg that happened that were SO incredibly far out of the realm of possibility, it might have distracted from this movie had it not been so good. I really enjoyed it, and if you like action movies, you will too. One of my fave scenes has him driving a Lamborghini Murcialago at incredible speeds trying to catch a helicopter heading to the airport... (I'd give an arm and a leg to drive one of those just once)

Saturday, just did some things around the house during the day, it was gorgeous out all weekend, and at night went to a car show over by Aaron's house. It was a gorgeous night to sit and watch the gorgeous cars come and go, and talk with people.

Sunday, was the normal go to see mom and dad day, and dad's gained a few more pounds!
Sunday night, we took a nice ride in the vette and came home for a nice evening in.

Monday, we got a call from our friends Ray and Debbie, who wanted to take a nice ride in our cars (Ray has this Cobra replica) and then come back and do a cookout with them and enjoy their hot tub.
So.... we did exactly that! When we got to their house, we opened up a couple bottles of wine and had a great cookout, followed by some relaxing time in the hot tub. By the time we got home, we were BEAT! *chuckling*

What'd everyone do this weekend?

On to the news:

I just don't understand some companies:
Banks giving hurricane victims a 90-day reprieve on their mortgage payment. Insert funny "let the bank have the house" line here

That's almost as bad as this one:
Read what Ford Motor Credit is GRACIOUSLY doing for people!
It's disgusting.

What else can I say about a headline stating "Singing lesbians to rescue opera house"!

Kuwait pledges $500 million in oil for hurricane relief, which ought to keep two Hummers and an Excursion on the road for an extra month

Haliburton hired to clean up after Hurricane Katrina

And finally, some possible GOOD news about oil prices:
Forbes predicts oil bubble to burst, sending prices down to $25-$35 a barrel

Flowchart for having fun with Telemarketers!

In probably one of the most embarassing moments of the Hurricane Relief effort:
First Sean Penn forgets to put drain plug in bottom of boat, then uses dixie cup to bail out, then gets heckled for having private photog with him "Where are people going to fit?"

A funny read:
Nobody stole your gargoyle, he just went on vacation!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
