And the weather turns cold....

I left the house this morning in short sleeves and it's 48 degrees out! Ok, tomorrow I wear long sleeves. (been trying to keep thinking it's summer... to no avail)

Dad looked pretty good yesterday when I went to see him. Hopefully he was right and he'll be going home on Friday or Saturday.

I got an email from my brother yesterday morning, seems he and his wife are having a lot of fun already on the cruise! I look forward to hearing from him.. as it reminds me of my first cruise.

And now, a little joke for you all:

A little boy got on the bus, sat next to a man reading a book, and noticed he had his collar on backwards.

The little boy asked why he wore his collar that way.

The man, who was a priest, said, "I am a Father."

The little boy replied, "My Daddy doesn't wear his collar like that."

The priest looked up from his book and answered "I am the Father of many."

The boy said, "My Dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he doesn't wear his collar that way."

The priest, getting impatient, said, "I am the Father of hundreds" and went back to reading his book.

The little boy sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and said, "Maybe you should wear your pants backwards instead of your collar."

Kermit turns 50, says he can handle the increase in prostate exams since someone has a hand up his butt every day

In honor of Kermit's Birthday, I'll post the lyrics from my favorite song of his, and you can hear it here:

The Rainbow Connection

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it,
And look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

All of us under its spell,
We know that it's probably magic...

... Have you been half asleep? And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
... Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm s'posed to be...
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

Laa, da daa dee da daa daa,
La laa la la laa dee daa doo...

That's it for today... enjoy your day.
