Almost Friday again... thank goodness! The Holiday Party last night was great. Lots of old friends quaffing beer and eating pizza, laughing and joking, even reminiscing about the "old days" of computers! *LOL* This coming year will be our 20th anniversary. When we had our 15th, we made some really great polo shirts and sweatshirts with a cool graphic embroidered on them. This coming year, we'll have to do the same as we have some money left in the treasury from this year. It's a great bunch of guys. I can't believe how fast the Holiday season is approaching.. and it'll be over just as quickly *sigh* No idea if anyone even wants to put up the tree this year. Did anyone see, America's Oldest Teenager Dick Clark, had a stroke? I have a friend of mine from Georgia that may be coming up on Saturday, so that'll be great. I do a lot of web-site work for him and we need to work on a completely new site for him. Well, here's the news not fit to print: Roadside billboard featuring naked woman on all fours considered potential driving risk (w/pic) Screaming motorcyclist on hood of car apparently not important enough for driver to stop (Ok, check out the last sentence in this article.. methinks the driver's in for a whooping) Carrie, how come you never told me... Nudism is fastest growing sector of Canadian tourism! Here's one for Aaron: Collection of weird fortune-cookie fortunes. "That wasn't chicken" Law of gravity apparently repealed. Man falls out of Mercedes' moon roof while driving And now a "Clavinism" about beer: One night at Cheers, Cliff Clavin explained the "Buffalo Theory" to his buddy, Norm. "Well ya see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine ! That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers............ And that's all for today... till the next wave! |
